Anyone who is a USA Hockey member knows that this coming weekend is “Hockey Across America” weekend.  Many tournaments and teams are getting together to participate in this event.  Ice arena’s are offering discounted skating and even professional hockey teams are offering discounted tickets to upcoming event.

All in fanciful way to promote the game of hockey!  It’s truly a great way to get the word out and unite all hockey players.  In the northern parts of Wisconsin, you will find a pond hockey tournament taking place.  This year over 350 games will be played on 20 rinks over the course of this fascinating three day weekend of hockey.  The tournament takes place in Eagle River, Wisconsin on Dollar Lake.

Teams from all over the country come to compete in one of the 12 divisions – two divisions are made up of woman’s teams!  Each team consists of 6 players, with 4 skating at a time.  No goalies, as the goal is only about 10 inches off the ground.
